If we are backing up then restoring to the same server there must be a reason for that. Reason?
If trying to clean up a course for reuse next academic session, there is course reset ... if you choose the options to remove all students enrolled and their work it's like a never used course - thus no need for backup and restore.
Since you are an edu ... one should probably make a backup with users and arhive that backup for records retention purposes.
