Hello Admin Moodlers
This end of semester we are migrating ALL our Moodle 1.9.x servers to Moodle 2.4/5. And to make this process a little bit more smooth for the Teachers, we developed a new repository plugin...
I am posting a link to a work-in-progress repository/moodle19 (which is working quite well) that helps the teacher import Moodle 1.9.x backup files directly from an old Moodle 19 system into a new Moodle 2+ system, when he/she is using the Course->Administration->Restore(or Import)->Add File dialog.
For security reasons (although some security measures are implemented) it is best used on a local network, inside the Institute. Where both Moodle 1.9.x and Moodle 2+ servers can have a direct network connection. (We are currently implementing a more secure communication link between the servers. Stay tuned)
Teachers can see only the courses they are enrolled into as Teachers on the remote Moodle 19 system. And Administrators using this plugin, are enabled to input any remote username and get a list of its courses.
