I had a problem with some content that, uh well... had problems. Some time ago I solved it by doing multiple restore tests and gradually deselecting the elements (by type) that made up the backup.
Try deselecting legacy files, calendar, blocks, and in the next page deselect type of activities etc...

Obviously, you have to do it in the GUI.
it's a long process but in this way you can find if there's something wrong in your backup.
