Have you managed to resolve this issue?
We're encountering the same problem and we were able to make sure the backup file is not corrupt because we were able to import on a different instance, same server. So, the server environment is not the issue either.
Backing up was taking so long via the GUI so we did it via CLI when worked. Restoring doesn't work from the GUI (takes forever, never ends) or the CLI. I've attached the CLI error below. Even restoring one topic with a couple activities in it out of the whole course is taking days and not finishing.
Moodle version of the backup and restore instance: 4.1. 9
Moodle version where we were able to restore via CLI is 4.5
PHP version: 8.1
Any pointers would be super appreciated.
