No, backup problems still exist. We use Moosh for course-backups now. From within Moodle, course backups sometimes work, sometimes don't. The process never finishes and ultimately crashes your Moodle instance by occupying all available task slots.
It's impossible to debug, no errors are thrown at any time. The backup just stops at around 95%, status 800, and keeps running till forever. I can only clean the running tasks from the database.
I still hope that some day the problem will magically fix itself by either an update from Moodle or an update from a custom plugin. It all started after the upgrade 3.11->4.3
