I am using Moodle 3.6.3 on a shared hosting service. I've got plenty of disk space (I think) but my backups are no longer completing, or erroring out.
A month ago, I set auto course backup to daily. When the backup file size got up to 500MB I switched to every other day as I was running out of space. I contacted my host and got my space increased to 45GB.
When my course backup grew to 1GB, I changed the auto course backup to weekly on Wednesdays at 2am. Every few hours, I get an email from the server reminding me that my course backup is unfinished (not error). It is now Sunday so this has been running for, I guess four days (~100 hours). It is possible that the backup size is now up to just under 2GB (I don't know because it will not complete, even when I do it manually).
I don't have access to the CLI so I'm a little limited in what I can do. However, it cannot be normal for it to take so long to backup something that, in the grand scheme of things, is not very large.
What can I do?
