Hi Ken,

I did just that and started with a clean slate.

1. I truncated database tables concerning automated backups
   
2. Cleaned all files in temp\backup directory
3. Turned on automated backups...

I have automated backups in a separate directory and in the Moodle course.

In the separate directory I now have 368 backups from courses.
