Can't export or backup greater than 200 KB

I'm just a user, so I don't have a lot of information regarding our server or how our site was set up, but I'm building courses for my classes that I cannot back up. I tried deleting activities and question banks until I could successfully backup, and it seemed that 200 KB was the limit.

I've been sending notes to our Moodle admin person for a few weeks but the response is that I've got big classes and nobody else has this problem and he's trying to back up a few parts of the class at a time. Can't believe other Moodle users aren't making classes larger than 200 KB.

Does anyone have any suggestions I could pass on to our Moodle admin person?
