Hi.
My school is preparing to upgrade its installation from 1.9.16 (yes, I know, ancient by now) to 2.4.3. The term doesn't begin until June 24th, and they typically do not create new course shells until the week or so prior to the term's beginning. Because I like to stay on top of things and get my courses designed and assets ready, I usually install either a Windows installation locally or a shared server installation with my hosting company. I installed 2.5+ the other day and have begun putting my course together.
My question is this: Since my course is being created in 2.5+, will the backup/restore process be backward-compatible with 2.4.3? I'm using only basic functionality, such as quizzes, links, documents, files, etc. I'm not using any complicated activities, and most certainly nothing that wasn't otherwise available even in 1.9.
Any thoughts on this? Or would it just be safer to do a 2.4.3 installation and work from there?
