Sorry if I wasn't clear...
I made the videos and then uploaded them to the course. Now that I want to share the course it was just too large to manage so I deleted the links to all of the video files and replaced them with YouTube embeds thinking that it would drastically reduce the size of the course.
That was not the case, for some reason, the content deleted from the page is still part of the course backup even if it is not being used anywhere.
With enough time, I could dig around the backup file and remove all of the larger files, but I would like to avoid this particular complication in the future because sometimes I use various courses as templates for others and I would like those to only contain what is needed as well.
Additionally, if I share a course and think that I have removed copyrighted material by deleting it from a page/assignment/etc. I really haven't. That bothers me.
