We run into the same issue reported in this page. But our issue is slightly different than the description on the page, hence the workaround may not apply.
- Site 1 and Site 2 are both in Moodle 4.3.3 version.
- The backup file including user info from Site 1 is restored to New Course area in Site 2.
- We carried out backup and restore process on two courses, Semester 1 and Semester 2. The two courses have exactly same users enrolled.
The Semester 1 course is restored to Site 2 without issue. Two new teachers (manual accounts) are added to the Site 2's user list. Their activity logging data seem restored fine.
But the Semester 2 course is stopped with the message "Trying to restore user xxxx from backup file will cause conflict" mentioning the two new teachers.
There is only a Cancel button on this step and no way to ignore the message and continue.
Could someone shed some lights? Thanks a lot!
