'Copy course' not working, stuck on back-up

I just wanted to copy a course to use it as a template for the next course, but now the progress is stuck on 'operation: backup' (for 24 hours now). 

I can't seem to delete the process

I get a warning that I shouldn't update my exisiting course, as a backup is in progress

Does anyone know why it is stuck and how I can un-stuck or delete it?
