The main reason is that I have been upgrading this site since version 1.9, and there are plugins/themes that I no longer use but cause issues when I try to uninstall them. Some of them are marked as “missing from disk,” while others, like the Edumy theme (which is no longer supported), throw errors when attempting to uninstall.
I believe starting from a clean installation might result in a better-performing site, but I’m not entirely sure if this approach is viable.
