Hi,
I have written to the official Moodle developer site and sent it in as a bug. This only happens when you have custom fields for your courses.
For a temporary fix it seems, you can make the custom fields settings "Visible to" Everyone or Nobody. This seems to happen if the "Visible to" is set to "Teachers".
