I tried with /, but the trashdir directory still increases by the size of the backup file (although it is saved in a completely different directory ~/course_test_backup/).
Please tell me, is it safe for the application if I find these files in trashdir and delete/move them manually?
Unfortunately, my cron does not work correctly and does not clean. I also tried run now scheduled task \core\task\backup_cleanup_task, but nothing happens.
