There has to be something in /moodledata/temp/backup/
Inspect a failed attempt directory to see the contents.
Confess, I don't know what status 800 really means ... ie, at what stage ... each course might be different ... the creation of the backup fails ... but might be able to figure out what's missing ...
files.xml is in conjunction with files directory.
Other xml files work in conjunction with related directories.
When one finishes successfully, there is a moodle_backup.xml - which is a road map fot it all and a backup.mbz file. If those are present, then it failed at the last step - which is to *copy* the .mbz file to it's destination and change it's name as per preferences on backups.
Do all of your courses follow some sort of template?
