Since you have cPanel, you probably have a thing called 'Easy Apache' (a misnomer cause it has to do with PHP version) or MultiPHP Manager. IF you are running 8.0.x of PHP for your site, reset it to use 7.4.x and see if that makes the issue for your site go away.
Word of caution ... before you tinker some more, make a full site backup ... that's an archive of code, a DB dump, and minimlally moodledata/filedir/
