Yes there are many possibilities when it comes to "nice to have" functionality in the auto backups. You've got a good start there! I'd love just a "cancel all pending adhoc-task backups" feature for starters.
Anyhow, thanks for the reply. Between my old script, brcli, and Moodle's own backup.php I should be able to figure out a workable solution in the short term.
