No worries, I really appreciate the time you took to look into my problem. I checked mdl_files table and it doesn’t seem to have any element with ‘activity’ under file area, only course.
However, by checking the temp/backups folder and its files (the one you suggested to check) I found that the activity was related to mod_hvp plugin. I have updated Moodle from 3.8 to 3.9 recently and it seems like now there is a new one called mod_h5pactivity. I used a tool to migrate activities from the mod_hvp to the mod_h5pactivity one. I deleted all the legacy ones and also uninstalled the mod_hvp plugin and the problem seems to be solved. There are no more entries in mdl_backup_controllers and also no more new files in temp/backups folder.
I didn’t check the task list because… well I don’t know how to do it hehehe
