After some additional digging, it was not redirecting to the download page. It was redirecting to the login page. That is, since the download manager is not in my browser, it does not pickup the existing session. So, it must login again. I see now way to solve this issue within the download manager software.
When I try to download in my browser, it always stops downloading after about 38MB (the file is 800MB).
So, now I am trying with FTP, if anyone can answer the question where are the backup files on disk.
