We’re still using v2.9, getting ready for a transition soon. I just did the unthinkable, deleting an instructor’s course without making a backup (I thought I had). Our trash directory is never backed up, so there’s no way to restore from there, but we do have regular site backups.
I have found the instructions on how to restore a site backup (beyond my technical scope, but I think our server admin can help). Before we attempt that, though, a couple of questions:
- Is there a way to identify a deleted course (and content) in the site backup? And if so, can that be extracted and restored by itself?
- Also, we would be restoring 2.9 to our test site, which is currently running 3.4.1. Is this doable?
