Can somebody confirm whether the bug "File System Repository files limited by PHP upload_max_filesize limits"https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-27156 is still there in the latest 2.2?
According to my observation, yes. (System Debian "Squeeze")
- Created a fresh 2.2.6+ (Build: 20121220)
- Created a http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/File_system_repository
- Copied a 300 MB mbz from a Moodle 2.1 in to the repostory
- Created an empty course
- Went to "Restore" and selected the backup in the repository
- Selected the mbz and click select.
Give the error "file size is bigger than max bites" (from memory) which is correct, the server limit is 66 MB. But the file has never left the server!
Repeated the excercise with 2.3.3+ (Build: 20121220). No such error message, I could restore the backup.
