Report from Kubuntu 14.04

extracted the zip file,

copied a backup in the directory

run source doit

here is the outcome

This will create two files: contenthash.txt and filenames.txt which must be stripped
of the XML tags via search and replace.
Do NOT change the names of the files created as other scripts look for them.
warning: failed to load external entity "files.xml"
contenthash.txt created.
warning: failed to load external entity "files.xml"
filenames.txt created.
Two php files will be run to strip the xml tags from the .txt files.
Depending upon the work to be done, this may appear to be slow.  Be paitent!
Press [ENTER] to continue or [CTRL][C] to CANCEL execution.
read: Command not found.

Ok.  Weve stripped tags and heres what we have now:
in filenames.txt ...
in contenthash.txt ...
Now finding files contained in ./files/ and building commands file.
for: Command not found.
do: Command not found.
c: Undefined variable.

so that does not look good, but I am wondering what is missing,

read, for do and c are supposed to be commands, but of which packages?

thanks
