Backing up "private files" sub-folders and aliases directing to "private files"

volgens Philippe Decloitre.

Hello everyone,

I am a happy user of aliases that link to files stored in "My Private Files" folder.

I prepare my work on a PC-Moodle 2.3, with a view to restoring the whole job on my university Moodle once done.

My smile has turned upside down when time came to restore the course:

1/My sub-folders do not appear in my restored course. So much for all links pointing to them.

2/Besides, labels that appear very often in the course, and which  are populated via aliases for space economy's sake and updating ease, have disappeared (well, their place holders are there but they cannot find the files (pics).

These pic files were not stored the sub folder I mentionned, they are in first-level folders, in "My Private Files folder", so _in their case_ it's not a problew of not being present. I read HERE, that Moodle 2.3 is able to keep track of such links (aliases) as long as the files are in the "server files or legacy course files" .

My questions are:

Is this a bug? If not, are "My Private Files" treated differently from "server files or legacy course files"?
Is there _at this time_ a way for me to restore the work I've done locally to my university Moodle?

Thanks for all glimlach
