Follow-up question since my circumstances have changed a bit - Could this work if the repository is an S3 bucket on Amazon? Running moodle 2.8.6.
You made the distinction of 'file system' repository, which infers local reps only, but can't hurt to ask.
I'm trying to automate generation of course import csv files, which are manually used with the restore course functionality.
As it is currently, we have multiple canned courses created multiple times in variable configurations, for multiple teachers and if I could more simply spit out an import file already setup to restore their selected courses into their defined categories, it would save the work of having to individually restore courses one at a time.
It's not a difficult process of course, but there's a lot of clicking that I know can be saved and the time of having to wait for some larger courses (100's of MB) to download, which is the real time sink.
