I too do not understand the idea behind this.
Moodle 2.7.3 (Build: 20141110). For one I have Site administration > Server > Scheduled tasks > Automated backups, where I can set Min, Hour, Day, Month, Day of week in the usual crontab style. Then there is Site administration > Courses > Backups > Automated backup setup where I can set Day of week and one clock time (amoung many other options). How do these two interact? Obviously they see each other because the former setup has already read the settings in the latter.
As an example, I am looking for an automated backup schedule of 07:05, 13:05, 19:05 every weekday.
