get module version in backup

Sorry if this question in other post, but i don't find it.

There is anyway to get original module version from a backup, for example.

I create a backup from choice module version 201103000 , and i want restore it, but this module was updates and now is in version 2014062000.

I think there is no way, i don't find this information on backup files,  but i think it's a good information to have,  so i can use this to restore olds backups, add steps to convert old data structure to new one,  like update.php does.
