I have created a new install with the latest 2.6 build. I am now trying to restore courses from my previous build which I believe is a 2.5 build. I have a large system level quiz bank. I am having issues restoring courses that either have any quiz in them even if they do not contain questions from the system level bank and for courses that have questions from the system level bank.
Progress so far - it appears that the vast majority of the quiz bank has restored to the new site. That is promising ... I think.
I believe that the courses that include quizzes that do not contain system level quizzes are maybe timing out - they are getting to 90-99% restore process before failing with a database error. I have extended out all the normal culprits in php.ini and mysql my.cnf. Sometimes, I can run a restore twice and have it go through.
If courses use the system level bank, they fail early in the process with a whole page of restore errors. Mentions of duplicate first columns and issues with hints.
Has anyone found a work around for restoring courses?
